You may wish to contact Olga Dzurova. She is an IOLI member and lives in Liptovsky Mikulas. She spent time in US a number ofyears ago. Her email: [email protected]. I missed meeting her when I visited my daughter in Bratislva a number of years ago. She most likely will not remember me. Let me look into some other info for you. I do not know if any is about your local. I my have another contact for you but need to find her contact info. However, she is in the far eastern part ot Slovakia.

It is in Northern Slovakia, the area of the High Tatra mountains, quite close to the Polish border in the area of Zakopane. In the book âSlovenska Ludova Palickovana Cipkaâ by Veronika Geciova-Komopovska the lace of that area, including the village of Bobrovec where the grandparents were from, is quite different from the lace in other parts of Slovakia. It is a continuous bobbin lace, white, and reminds me more similar of Swedish lace. Iâd really like to find out how it came into favor there, the history of it, and if any is still being made or worn in that area. Can anyone help?
