Dear Jean and David, Thank you! Who did the photography? Did everyone notice on the Lace Wine swan label by Lauran Sundin that the gold wire, purple thread, and pearls contains her initials, and that it is finished as a necklace? Maybe her students at Waddesdon Manor in September will see it. The architectural and lacy ironwork are fabulous, beautifully framed with tree branches, structural elements, etc. The black swan is fantastic. Viewing these photos reminded me of Our Lacemakers of Maine handout for demonstrations. It is a folded-in-half sheet of paper, that opens like a book. On the front is our logo by Lori Howe (Lacefairy) and an April 29, 1939 quote I found from Coco Chanel: "I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever made of the fantasy of nature; lace always evokes for me those incomparable designs which the branches and leaves of trees embroider across the sky, and I do not think that any invention of the human spirit could have a more graceful or precise origin."
Jean and David, the photos of Adelaide you have put on the OIDFA site are superb. Thanks for all you both do for Lace.
