Hello All! Sorry to say I did not even see the catalogue! DH (dear husband)
was revving the SUV while I was still putting on my coat. Dare say I would
still be in Guelph if I hadn't jumped in as he rolled down the driveway. <g>.
Nancy said the catalogue was very nice so I presume it is worthy of
consideration as a holiday present to oneself. Thank you Lorelei for
explaining the Potten Kant. I must say I spent some time G**gling yesterday to
get more info on several techniques. The PK apparently was a peasant lace & is
quite robust. The cap was very attractive--traditional shape when seen from
afar with the subtle pattern/texture coming into view as one neared the object.
Humble & pretty in the same package. Just wondering if there is an
relationship to conservative religious sects such as Mennonites? Also--G**gle
turned up an Irish lace museum tour on YouTube. There is a link on the Irish
Crochet Together blogspot. Have a lacy day!! Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Er!
