Hello Jeri and everyone Just a heads-up, the 'apostrophes' that show in your message window are probably not in the original e-mail. Rather the sender has put an extra space after each period, something we did as a rule back in the days of manual typing. Computer formatting expects a single space after a period or full-stop. If there is a double space, then at the receiving end some mail programs will convert it to text, or symbol. Gmail shows the message as writ.
Two spaces after the period was a habit which I had to un-learn asap for desktop publishing! Note to Sharon in Cumberland, BC I'm sure your efforts will pay off, keep us posted :) On Tue, Feb 10, 2015 at 9:19 AM, <[email protected]> wrote: > ..... > Please avoid apostrophes - they make your messages difficult to read, > > > -- Bev in Shirley BC, near Sooke on beautiful Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
