Yes indeed Antje--sequins can cut thread! After making a gorgeous beaded necklace in a four day class (Dutch spiral with embellishments), the whole thing shredded at the closing banquet. I was particularly peeved because the materials were provided by the teacher. Mind you, this was nylon beading thread & the technique required a certain amount of tension.
