Hi Jenny, The Binche pattern I am just finishing shows tallies in black, in the shape they are meant to be (ie., leaf, square, rectangular) and plaits are shown the same way, as a heavy black line. Twists are indicated by strokes across the line... One stroke indicates one twist, two strokes indicates two twists, etc. Picots are indicated by a circle around the pinhole. This is the Belgian Color Code, and I'm not certain that this is the same as ICC or not.
