I would like to offer profuse thanks to Jean Leader for posting a video to YouTube showing how to make tallies. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth ten thousand. It was a tremendous help to me. I have now made a number of them resembling smooth boxwood leaves more than the sadly mutant oak leaves I kept producing before.
