I am in two minds about all the scans on the net as there have been times
that seeing the scan has made me go and buy the book - which I would not
have otherwise done.

HOWEVER

I wish all the people who post the scans would at least provide details for
those of us who WANT to support our designers. To this end I have started a
one women campaign to remind people that books that are in print should be
bought. Whenever I see a scan of a book that I can find for sale online I am
going to add the comment "Please support the designer by buying her book."

I am not going to get dragged into a copyright war, I will simply add that
comment (with perhaps a link to where on the net it is available for sale,
or perhaps its ISBN so it can be more easily found) and hope that it will
start to make a few more people realise that without the designers getting
some financial recompense they will stop producing these wonderful books we
now have.

Would you like to do the same?

Regards

I can say to future generations that I was born BEFORE the Internet - my
parents generation invented it!!
