Thank you Janice--what a clever idea & one that I will surely try! For my pattern, it sounds like this would be easier using a very long pin because I am spanning 11 pin holes. Jeri--sorry to say, I think the term lazy loops has a life of its own in any number of books, DVDs & classes. Sort of like whole stitch, double stitch & cloth stitch & twist? The first time I ever used magic threads, it was for a class where we were moving a bundle of threads in a dragonfly pattern & not making a sewing per se. It was sometime later that I learned the same technique could be applied to single threads involved in sewings. In that light, it's easy to see how different terms might have evolved.
