I have a pair of the black ones. They are, of course, not crochet, but a machine torchon type pattern. They are very comfortable, and very inexpensive. The lace pattern shows up better on the white (and pink) but black goes better with my wardrobe. I've worn them to lace demonstrations and to lace meetings. Louise in Central Virginia
