Thanks Beth. I did find out more about her on the SCA site & there was a reference to Blockhouse Bay, New Zealand. She teaches period style dancing for SCA members in addition to making lace. There is also a small article on making lace with simple, inexpensive tools--something we all might learn from when teaching Girl Scouts or others to make lace at demo events.
