I am an administrator on the facebook <https://www.facebook.com/groups/Lace8Users/> Lace8 Users Group that is running a lace design challenge at the moment and would like to tell you more about it - let's be honest, I am hoping for more entries - even though it is a wee bit late as entries close Tuesday 5th July. The idea is to use Lace8 to design a piece of lace that uses some designated elements. You do not need to actually work the design The rules are Lace8 Users Group Mid 2016 Design Challenge Using Lace8 you are hereby challenged to design a piece of torchon, using the following elements: . Footside (any) . Ground (any) . spider (5 pins per side) . narrow trail (2 pins) . element of your choice _________________________ . element of your choice _________________________ RULES - there are always rules LOL . It must be your own design - if you collaborate you MUST acknowledge all parties . A maximum of 5 entries per person . All entries to be emailed to the administrator, Jenny Brandis by Midnight of Tuesday, 5th July 2016 Western Australian Time (+8:00 GMT) <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] . Provide your entry in LC8 format with your C details to the side (so it can be hidden during judging) . Judging will be by popular vote . Each entry will be placed into a non printable PDF file (1 entry per page). The PDF file will be added to the Lace8 Users Group FILES section by the following Tuesday (12 July) ready for you to view and vote. . This is where everyone can have a vote - actually 3 votes each. Voting will be for the page number (remember the C details are hidden at this stage). . Voting is done by emailing Jenny at <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] with the subject line Lace8 Voting and your votes listed in the text area. . Wednesday 13th July to Friday 15 July the votes will be collated into a spreadsheet prior to the announcement of the voting results on the Lace8 Users Group on Saturday 16th July. . Copyright of the work remains that of the designer Please print out these rules By submitting an entry into the Lace8 Users Group Mid 2016 Design Challenge the designer acknowledge that the organisers will respect copyright by making the PDF (provided for voting considerations via the Lace8 Users Group on facebook) password protected to prevent printing and editing. By submitting an entry the designer acknowledge that their entry/ies will be incorporated into the judging PDF (with copyright not visible for judging purposes) and in the event of being in the top 3 entries will be available for long term viewing (with copyright visible) as a picture in the photos section of the Lace8 Users Group facebook page. The designer retain the copyright on their original design and by entering do not waive their ownership rights.
