Hello All! Now that my exchange ornament is off my pillow, I would like to
start a small sample of Zakopane lace from the
https://koronkaklockowa.wordpress site. It's a small, squarish mat with a
floral motif in the center. Unfortunately, both ends of the tape in the
flower/leaf section terminate in the winding path of the tape. Although I know
how to sew out the tape at the end, it's unclear what to do when the tape
simply passes the "beginning" at right angles. I found some Russian tape lace
lessons on lynxlace.com & I looked in my Idrija notes hoping for an example but
didn't see this design issue. I also looked in Practical Skills. Is there
somewhere else I should look? The only other idea was to turn one end into
some sort of scroll start but that does change the design. Many thanks if
someone can point me in the right direction. Sincerely, Susan Hottle
