I have been sent an old postcard of bobbin lace being sold. On the back it says:
"Bobbin made laces for sale, 1950. "Spania Dolina, Slovakia, Czechoslovakia" the photo ia by Frnatisek Kalesny The picture shows a mass of women with three in the front each holding up a piece of lace. One is a rectangular mat, one is a rectangular 'frame' presumably made to edge a piece of linen or cotton material and the third seems to be a rectangular mat but is definitely much longer than the first one. All seem to be Torchon. There is lots more lace flat on the stall/counter but design cannot be distinguished.
