And Braid, - to me â is a wider piece with more passive pairs, and one pair of workers going backwards and forwards -, as in Tape lace. Lacemaking, having sprung up in so many different places, and people not travelling around like we do today, has brought about lots of confusing bits like this. It all adds to the fascination of Lacemaking, I suppose!! Look at â Workers, walkers weavers, leaders and runners! â 5 terms for the same thing!
