Could I make a suggestion? Perhaps the organizers of various exchanges could form a committee and discuss who would be responsible for different exchanges.
This would solve a lot of problems, by ensuring that everyone knew ahead of time who would be running an exchange, allowing members to cover for each other if someone is sick or on vacation, ensuring that the exchanges are scheduled at reasonable times. The rest of us would benefit from some kind of centralized agreed-upon schedule because we could plan our time better.
