Hello all, Thank you for the many replies about resources for learning lacemaking on a bolster pillow.
Today I met the woman who wanted to learn, and I found out she was using the term "bolster" for the thing that we know as "roller pillow." So I will be teaching her on a cookie pillow after all, palms down, and when she has continuous lace to make, she can make that on a roller pillow. Meantime, I have been learning valuable lessons about making lace on a bolster, and I thank you all for your help.
