Nancy, I have not seen any aluminum bobbins, but if you are going to do 
wire bobbin lace, check out this website: https://lenkas.com/. She has a 
blog, as well as a school for teaching, (it is in BC Canada), and she 
has an etsy shop where she sells supplies for fine wire lace making. Her 
bobbins don't have a hook on them, but from what I can see they have 
something on the head that holds the wire in place. She also has quite a 
few different wires for sale.
