I too found Arachne in 1996, in about August of that year. I remember
when I first discovered it. I had typed in "lace" in the browser and
was shocked to get a lot of porno web-sites :) Luckily arachne did
appear too and I've belonged ever since. It was a real thrill just to
know there was other lacer's out there, I had never met any for the
first 15 yr s. that I made lace. A year later and we moved up Island to
Courtenay /Comox the home of The Denman and District Lace Club. I have
often posted questions for my fellow club members over the years and
printed off tips that I thought they might find of interest. It's been
a wonderful resource and I've made a couple of good e-pals along the
way. Speaking of the Denman Club, starting on May 6th of this year we
are hosting a 3 day lace getaway to celebrate our club's 100th
anniversary :) Quite an achievement :) Sharon ..on sunny, but windy,
Vancouver Island.
