Have any of you worked the Halter Spider pattern, pages 42-44 of the Small Friendly Spider book put out by the Lace Guild? I’m having trouble getting started. It says to use 22 pair. The ground is plaited, which I thought used 2 pair per plait. Looking at the working diagram, it looks like it needs 26 pair. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
