Thanks to advice from Jane & others, I managed to finish my sample! It was
quite an adventure working with multiple threads as weavers. Two strands of #8
perle were too thick so I tried 1) #12 perle with #8 & 2) two stands of floss
with #8. Passives are all #8. My colors are peach, rose & pale yellow as I did
not have red, yellow & orange as shown on Jane’s pattern. BTW—this is a free
pattern on her site if you want to have fun with stripes too! Be advised the
stripes are textured, sort of like bias tape. I do want to work her pattern
again to see if I can create more distinctive stripes. The heathered look is
appealing but it’s less bold than I would like. After posting a photo to
Flickr, I was surprised to see that we don’t have a boatload of new lace
posted. With everyone sheltering in place, Arachne members must be producing
lace by the pound! BTW—Something tells me one of our clever members is already
designing a lace coronavirus molecule to lift our spirit!
 s. I briefly (& foolishly) thought of trying it myself. Ha, ha—my usual
enthusiasm without skills! Wishing Good Health to all. Sincerely, Susan Hottle,
Florida USA
