Don't trust graph paper either.
Some years ago we found some graphed prickings that did not match -
beginning to end of a handkie square.
It was eventually tracked down to the graph paper that was not quite square!
So infuriating!!!!!!
I also have a (purchased) 4½ inch quilters square that isn't! - it is a
good millimetre out one way! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
