I did wonder if Liz was asking with regards to nearest airport - in which case, Birmingham International. There are good bus services from Birmingham city centre to Dudley, (from the airport there is a link to B'ham International railway station, and frequent trains from there to Birmingham New Street) in fact the West Midlands as a whole is pretty well served... something I miss having moved over the border into Staffordshire! (Guess who was born and grew up in Birmingham!). If flights have to go into Manchester, (which is approximately 88 miles north of Birmingham - my sister used to live there!) then rail to Birmingham is probably the best bet. As Amanda said, Manchester is "up north" to us Midlanders! There is, if I remember correctly, also a bus service (or three) between Dudley and Stourbridge - look for "West Midlands Travel" on Google, the website gives timetables and route details. (This is the main bus company serving the West Midland area, but there are other services, some of which have cheaper fares. On most buses in the West Midlands you need the correct change for your fare when you get on the bus. It is possible to get a "West Midlands Bus add-on" to rail tickets (though I'm not sure whether this is available from all stations outside the W. Mids, or just a certain radius - it is worth asking) which saves both money and the hassle of having change, as you just show the bus driver your rail ticket. The alternative, if you are planning to do both by bus, is to buy an all-day bus ticket rather than paying the single fare on each bus. Should anyone be mad enough to visit the exhibition on August 3rd (late morning), I may see you - I decided it would be a good class outing for my mob! -- Jane Partridge - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
