Greetings from California,

I am so happy to see all the interest in needle lace. I made a promise to a dear woman who is no longer with us at the lace museum to carry on and learn and teach needle lace. Since that time I have taught a few workshops here, and there has been more interest in the Sacramento and Bay areas. I have added pictures of some orchid flowers I designed.

I also enjoyed seeing the Halas flower. I wonder if there is any proof that it was made in Hungary. i would agree that it looks like the petals are the fish, but the official fish were more like a stamp or watermark in the other designs. We have a piece at the museum. I also find it interesting that it does not contain any of the signature cloth stitch. I have made a couple of attempts to work Halas following the instructions in Pat Earnshaw's book. My Kokopeli has been on my webshots album and I have just added a rabbit I had done, also some time ago.

Well, back to lurking.
