In the 's Gravenmoer Lace there are two grounds or stitches made. The
"rozengrond" or rose ground made in a honeycombstitch (ttc pin ttc)
and the virgin ground or "kruisslag" made in several ways and stitches.
The rose ground pattern is:
/\

\/
The simple virgin ground patterns is
+ +
x
x x
x
+ +
It is difficult to draw with only alphabetical signs.
A good description of both grounds can be found in the book "Kant uit
Vlaanderen en 's Gravenmoer, published by the LOKK, which is sold
out. But perhaps it is also explained in a more recent book "Techniek
van de 's Gravenmoerse Kant", also published by the LOKK. Both books
are in Dutch, English and German.
I will place my only 's Gravenmoerse kant on my website and a example
of both grounds today.
Happy lacing
