You might want to check out your local charity shops. There are often lawn
hankies in their stores at very reasonable prices. You can look at the
sizes and choose which ones are suitable.

Subject: [lace] Hanky linen
Many years ago I bought a half metre of fine hanky lawn from Arthur Sells
'
widow before she disappeared having closed the business. I am now in the
throes of a production line of hankies for my daughter's wedding hoping to
get one done for her future Mil, one for my daughter and one for myself
(let's not even mention the garter!). The linen I have left is too small
for
any of the projected hankies and was cut on a severe slant against the
'true' of the fabric so it's useless. Is there anywhere in the UK I can
get
anything similar? Would a good John Lewis have something? I have no decent
fabric shops near me at all but London would be feasible although I'd
hoped
to attach the first edging ( not half done yet!) while watching people ski
at half term in Austria!
All help gratefully received!
