Mea culpa - I thought that they were working about 1840  -when their farming 
manual was published rather than the 1880s.

For those without access to the BBC - there will be a DVD and, presumably, an 
export to other Countries at some later date.  I found that one of the 
Historians or living Archaeologists  has a website with some images from this 
and their earlier Mediaeval Farm series:
