I took college courses from Rosalie King in the 70's when she was a professor at the University of Washington. Although I haven't seen the book, which was published a long time after my time at the UW, she was a very knowledgeable professor in the Textile Sciences. The University of Washington also has the Burke Museum, which has a VERY large textile collection with a serious textile conservation program, which Rosalie King probably was involved in. (Most of the Textile Clothing and Art professors were involved in this program at the time). I consider the book to be of possible value, especially if you can get it for a good price. I've not heard of this book, and am interested in what others have to say about it (especially Jeri!!). So much changed in what we know about conservation, and I wonder if this book is too old to be of any use, or whether it may be a gem... - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
