With wedding preps done far ahead of time, wouldn't it be better early so she
doesn't replicate with a synthetic/machine made cousin, not knowing she would
be the recipient of something of love, time and sentiment?
I would starch (or at least "size") it, so it endures some fondling and
admiration, and a few hours of ceremony and celebration. Sizing tends to keep
soil from the core of fibers so they wash more easily...moot here, but perhaps
a consideration.
