Hello Irene
Which Medeira metallic? There are at least 27 different Madeira
metallics!!!
No metallics are very easy to work with, especially the finer ones.
Kreinik blending filament is quite fine and fairly soft. You might
find that Madeira Supertwist Opal works a bit better for you as it's a
firmly twisted 4 ply thread.
What size thread are you using for the rest of the lace? Is the
metallic passive supposed to be similar thickness? or thicker to
emphasise the design?
Brenda
I have been making Susan Wenzel's Christmas Ornamanets and using
Kreinik
Blending Filament for a passive on the edge. The thread was a lot of
trouble
as it split and broke and did not manage well.
Is the Madeira Metallic better? Are there other threads out there
that work
better?
