I Couldn't agree more with Clay and Ruth! IMHO, the best teachers are those that aren't afraid of the questions their students might ask and aren't afraid to share their knowledge. Mum's first teacher in Oz is now sometimes the pupil, and I greatly respect her for not being afraid to ask for advice from her former student.
If a teacher is very controlling, one wonders just how comfortable they feel with the thought of their students getting better than them.
