Hello all Thank you all for your informative posts about 16th-17th cen. laces. The new book looks like an interesting read. As for IOLI, I have been meaning to send in my membership, so it looks like this is just the push I needed. I've been eying the Portland convention, though I don't think I'll make it. Flight costs from Pittsburgh to Portland are prohibitive. Bethesda in 2010, however, looks like a plan!
I do have to respond to one comment, though: Elizabeth wrote "If it is a hassle to get it right, then it is no fun, and defeats the whole purpose!" I laughed when I read this statement as I've always said (with regard to lace), "If I'm not frustrated, I'm not happy."
