Alex, If you have that many slides to scan, maybe you should look at the Nikon SF 210. It has mixed reviews - but it is the only one I'm aware of that will let you scan more than 3 or 4 slides at a time (it has a feeder for up to 50 slides at a time). I haven't tried it personally, but from the reviews it seems that you will have to be prepared to babysit it a bit while it works!
