My son's 6th grade class spent 3 days at a winter (sleepaway!) camp two weeks ago and we were discussing all the activities they did. One thing they did after every meal was to weigh the "orts" and their class did the best of any in the history of the camp in reducing their orts by the end of their time there. When he was telling me about it I mentioned how orts is a term for leftover bits of thread and yarn. I think I first read about it in a Monica Ferris needlework mystery. Funny how the topic has come up at the same time! Diane Williams [email protected] Galena Illinois USA My blog - http://dianelaces.wordpress.com/
