I know exactly who you mean, David.  I have one of his pillows - Lynn and
Norman - I think the last name was McLean or McKay or something similar that
began with a Mc.  Mum's offline this weekend, so she can't pipe up with the
answer.  Lyn has been (or was) a member of ALG for many years, and I think
Norman was an upholsterer by trade.

My pillow has seen many miles of travel and many pieces of lace and is still
as firm as the day I got it in the centre.  I am so glad I spent the extra $
and bought it :-)

Part of its weight may be in part due to its solid base.  Norman didn't
skimp, and I suspect it's probably a good inch thick lump of wood.

It's my favorite pillow to use.
