Another hint... I don't have special crimping pliers, and found it
difficult to close the crimping beads tightly enough with my
long-nosed pliers - until I changed these pliers to the other hand,
and still holding them, squeezed the jaws of the pliers with a
*second* pair of pliers.
Just back from another wonderful (aftershock-free!) Lake Rotoiti 'Top
of the South' lace weekend... as well as continuing a long-term
project, I experimented with a crochet hook and thread and made my
first length of braid for Romanian Point lace, which I saw for the
first time when we visited the IOLI conference in July. It was great
to be able to show our photos of the conference guest day, and the
lace and tatting races, as well as the 'souvenirs' we picked up there!
