Very good point, Helen. I always (with one exception) work with my pillow at
an angle, thus putting tension on the bobbins and keeping their hitch on. I
also know that if bobbins with silk on are not under tension that double
rolling hitch will untie itself in the twinkling of an eye.
The only exception to this is when I am making Honiton lace, where the dome
of the pillow adds the tension to all of the bobbins, and it would not help
to slope the pillow
