I was started on the path of bobbin lace by a demonstrator at the renaissance faire I worked at, but once the summer was over I found two books - The Bobbin Lace Manual by Geraldine Stott, and Lessons in Bobbin Lace Making by Doris. I swapped between the two books pretty regularly, and I still refer back to those books for tips, tricks, and even patterns to work when I want something relaxing - they may be beginners books, but the patterns are still interesting and fun to make. I credit Doris pretty heavily for leading me down the path of string and air :D Chris - Chicago can't decide if it's March or July! -- Always proactively untwist octagonal hippopotomus pants.
