I have to throw in a few words here. Alison was my teacher, then my friend, my mentor and my employer. She started me painting bobbins and brought me into the store to work part time. She taught me to have faith in my abilities and trust in my gift. She taught me how to work on the computer and run a business. It was so wonderful to see my designs in the catalogs and have the store to see all the new books as they came out. She is a lifelong friend and I miss her and the shop. I will always be grateful to her for letting me be a part of her business and her heart. She is an excellent lace teacher, full of patience and ingenuity. I learned so very much from her. I hope she can continue to make a little lace.... she is so very good at it.
