I am, besides being a lacemaker - both bobbin lace and needlelace, a
shooter, and I handle lead pellets a lot. My lead levels have been checked
by a blood test a few times, and they are well within the normal range. I
have been shooting since 1970.
My husband has been shooting for longer than that, used to cast his own
projectiles, and still does his own reloading, so handles lead quite a lot -
and his blood tests showed his lead content to be well within the normal
range also.

So I think you should not worry about any lead that might be in pins. There
will be more circulating in the air than anything that will come off the
pins.
