Dear All, I've just seen the thread on light-emitting lace, which is what you're really on about. Light emitting wire is just like ordinary wire, and can be wound onto a bobbin, or coiled and tied to enable manipulation.
Its best exponents are www.loop.ph, whose amazing creation at Kensington Palace can be googled by putting in 'Kensington Palace lace'. It's not just a question of making it (although that is staggering) but you also have to know about the electronics that light it up. Loop are a couple with both skills, having learnt their lace from Gail Baxter and Carol Quarini. But they also have the imagination to make it fly - you'll find other pieces on their website under the title 'sonumbra'. Cheers, Jane Atkinson - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected]. For help, write to [email protected].
