I stumbled upon the Greenwich Fan Museum when I was there last April. It is worth a visit. Although there are not many lace fans, all the others are rather fascinating and the few lace ones there are are simply magnificent. I have some photos but these do not do the fans any justice at all. As for travelling, the best is to use the Oyster Card. I believe it works out more cost efficient than the travelcards.
