I have been a lurker for several years. Mainly as I am new to bobbin
lace and when I read the digest I would end up spending a while looking
up things mentioned and learning more about it. While other lists I am
on can be read quickly or scanned, this is the one I make time to sit
and enjoy.
I am working on torchon at the moment, wanting to learn as much as I can
about each type of lace and the history behind it. Its exciting to see
the lace progress and to learn the various backgrounds. Still looking to
find a pattern that is interesting that will teach me more for a
workshop this spring. Of course I am also tempted to try a Withoff
pattern as the teacher is Susie Johnson and the Withoff laces are so
beautiful. But I think they may be a bit too advanced for me yet. I
would love to hear suggestions from the group.
Now for some questions for the list:
1. I am on digest and would like to go to single messages - How does
one do this?
2. Is there a place one can go to read the previous messages? Or a way
to get just the messages on a certain topic? I have sent and gotten the
email from majordomo on help but when I try to get any of the lists or
subjects I just get the help email again.
3. Is it too late to join the bookmark list for 2013?
Thank you Jeri for encouraging those of us lurking to speak up.
