American spiders, especially those in Indiana or nearby states, may be
interested in viewing http://www.bedfordcollegeoflacemaking.com/index.html .

I found the website after seeing reference to it on
http://encajerasbolilleras.blogspot.ca/

I assure you I have no association with this school and I know nothing about
it except what appears on their own website which I viewed for the first time
about one hour ago.

(I am getting ready for a lace demonstration tomorrow in the small museum in
the small village near where I grew up. I will be working on my Yaspe silk
scarf which is now about 15 inches/37 centimetres long. The three interwoven
colours (pinkish-brown, pink, and pinkish-beige) and all the changes in
texture are wonderful. The pattern is quite simple but I haven’t yet got
any “speed” because, with the thickness of the threads changing, I usually
have to re-evaluate how many twists are appropriate. I am learning a lot
about tensioning because there are large areas without pins.)

(Scarf season will be here before we know it but today’s temperature is
already 27 Celsius (83 Fahrenheit) with vey high humidity - not unusual for
July.)
