There are a lot of Web sites that will let you "import" your contact
list from Web-based email services, and add them as "friends" on the
service if they are already members.

They sometimes will offer to let you send an invitation to selected
people in your contact list who aren't already members. Sometimes,
people accidentally send invites to everyone in their addressbook.
Rarely, services will send invitations to all people in the address
book, without the consent of the user -- a very, very bad thing!

I don't know which of these is the case for reunion.com. But, because
the message was sent through the user's email service, it seemed to be
from a subscriber to this list. So, it wasn't blocked.

If you see a way to block messages like this in the future, please feel
free to add it to the mailing list configuration.
