Yes. Randulo, although I respect your ideas, I think that we're going to keep the hashes for now.

I /hate/ template engines. They're sloppy, slow, and hard to work with.

I think that most of what people want to do can be handled with a) CSS and b) hooks. I think that should let folks do "branding" -- logo, colors, names -- and emit a little extra HTML here and there -- say, adding a menu item at the top, or even adding a whole block of HTML.

I'd need to see a better use case than, say, hashtags-without-hashes to go for a full templating engine.
