I know allowing ALPHA_UPPER right now may not be the right thing, but the rest of the patch is sound. (paramatizing the validation of nicknames, which also allows easier LDAP integration (eg, our names are First.Last) Secondly whats the next release going to be? 0.7.4 or 0.8? and Is the git of 0.8.x being kept up to date with dev/0.7.x? I ask because right now i'm having to do alot of merges and would rather wait for the next release and create plugins instead of patches :) (seeing alot of activity on gitorious with additions of hooks, makes me happy :) Thanks, -Eric
