(Why my mails are not going through?)

I'll start from the latest event. identi.ca has been updated to
version 0.8 of laconi.ca, but translations look broken (at least for
my language): all the web interface is in English. Are there any
other translators experiencing this? Do somebody know if this is only
a temporary problem?

Same problem with Polish locale, everything is in English.

I clone the gitorious repository and create an i18n branch where,
only locally for now, I updated the laconica.pot template and updated
my local translations: there are a lot of new strings and the multi
line strings work (I have version 0.17 of gettext). Looking through
the source tree looks like the last time translations where updated,
was in March.

I would like to update Polish translation ASAP, so could you make PO
files you created public? Is there someone I can send translation to
include it in mainline git repository?

Is somebody taking care of updating the Pootle instance and syncing
it back with the git repository? I see there are plans for revamping
i18n for the 0.9 release, isn't it possible to do something earlier?

On another side, how do translators feel using Pootle?

Personally I don't like using Pootle. It's a lot easier for me (and
probably other experienced FLOSS translators) to edit PO file locally
and then submit it to git repository.

I've suggested before using Transifex [1] which allows to commit
translations in safe way on !latrans, but there were no feedback.
Dimitris Glezos added Laconica to transifex.net platform, but for now
only for statistics viewing. It can be extended to support submitting
translations at any point, if Laconica developers wish it [3].

Of course it can be used beside Pootle, which I'm sure is very helpful
for new translators. :)
