I am after a bit of advice on writing a plugin, to add the $$ tagging
functionality to a notice (e.g. $$GOOG links to a group about goog)
very similar to the !group functionality. This is similar to the
stocktwits feature.
Which would be the best place to hook into the regex that strips the
tags from the notice and then add the functionality I need to create?
After looking around the code, there are two places as I see it,
saveTags in classes/Notice.php and common_render_content in lib/
util.php. Am I barking up the wrong tree here, can anyone guide me a
little?
