*UPDATE: 631 W 111th Pl* 57 y/o M found on porch (of home converted to duplex) in critical condition, with burns to > 60% of boy, including at least 40% 3rd degree; Was sleeping at time of intense fire in bedroom, caused by careless smoking; Though his unit was equipped with smoke alarm, its status at time of fire could not be determined; A smoke alarm in the adjoining duplex was indeed sounding; The home was not equipped with optional residential fire sprinklers; Fire damage = $60K ($50K structure + $10K contents) - Brian Humphrey###
